Football Player’s Association of India's (FPAI) awarded Bengaluru FC's Eugeneson Lyngdoh as the best player of Indian origin. Lyngdoh helped Bengaluru FC to give a tittle challenge upto the last day of the league in the 2014-15 I-League season which saw Mohun Bagan as the winners. lyngdoh scored 6 crucial goals for Bengaluru FC in the previous season and helped them finish runner ups. The Shillong-born midfielder will play his trade for FC Pune City in (ISL) as he was bought for Rs. 1.05 crores by the Pune club.
The coach of the year is awarded to Royal Wahingdoh coach, Santosh Kashyap. The 49 year old was awarded for his excellent team management as he led Royal Wahingdoh to the third place in the club's debut I-League season
Meanwhile, Foreign Player of the Year award is bagged by Haiti International and Mohun Bagan's starman Sony Norde. Norde scored 9 goals in 19 appearances for Mohun Bagan last season and brought back the I-League tittle with his performances. Sony Norde will play for Mumbai City FC in the second edition of ISL.
